Orot's origins date back to 1980, but it wasn't until 1997, with a vision for the potential of the Toro D.O., that they decided to establish their own winery in the town of Toro, at the heart of the appellation.
The two-story building, one floor of which is underground, features an excellent Crianza room, naturally maintained at optimal temperature and humidity, ideal for aging their wines. Situated in the southeast of Zamora province at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level, Orot has 20 hectares of vineyards dedicated to the Tinta de Toro variety, with vines now over 15 years old.
Aged for six months in American and French oak barrels, the Orot Roble displays a cherry red color. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and blueberry, along with black licorice, set against a backdrop of gentle toasted notes, with spicy and balsamic hints of vanilla and cocoa. The palate is fresh and balanced, with plenty of black fruit, a touch of spice, and balsamic notes, showcasing a good structure and a long finish.
