Herpac was founded in 1986 by the Pacheco brothers. After many years working in their small fish shop in Barbate, Francisco and Diego have built their company into one of the most recognised and celebrated preserved fish producers in Spain.
Despite it's great success, Herpac remains a family business and is now run by their third generation. The company is a leader in the canning industry, and it's tuna mojama is one of the most recognized in the world, being one of the few chosen to wear the distinguished seal of the Protected Geographical Indication "Mojama de Barbate". Having received countless national and international awards, Herpac products can be found in the most important stores and gourmet kitchens around the world. Along with this, the company's continued commitment to the environment means they work exclusively with fish whose legal provenance is fully documented in accordance with Spanish and Community regulations. Therefore, all the Yellowfin tuna they work with has the Dolphin Safe certificate of origin.
