This dark, cherry red wine has complex aromas and well combined bouqyet. Fruits such as raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry come to mind, along with dried fruits, spices, and sweet notes such as vanilla, coffee and a mineral background.
Full bodied, rich and intense. This wine has a smooth, balanced acidicty and tannins. With a long lasting aftertaste of oak and toasted hazelnuts.
A little about the Bobal grape. It is the most representative and ancient native variety within the production area of the bodegas, first written about in the fifteenth century. Held as one of the finest in the Mediterranean, it requires a lot of care and gives a low yield. First planted at the estate in 1928, these grapes mature mid-late in the season due to the demanding Mediterranean climate, making the most of the surroundings to generate a truely appraochable and singular grape.
